Mitsubishi Evo 10 - Paint Correction & Kamikaze Miyabi Coating

 

One of the last models of Mitsubishi Evo 10 came in for paint correction and Kamikaze application. The owner of the car wanted superior protection for his brand new car, hence opting for the coating. The car was sitting in the lot for a year, accumulating many types of contaminants that were embedded in the vehicle. The car was in mediocre shape with swirls, scratches, and yellow road paint.  The car came in for applications of ceramic coating on his wheels, glass, and on the paint. The process of this particular vehicle included a full decontamination to prep the paint surface for a full machine polish with Rupes. After paint correction, two layers of Miyabi was applied for long term durability and protection against environmental elements. The wheels, carbon fibers, and windows were also protected with Gyeon Rim and Q2 View. 

 

Procedure

 

The wheels were cleaned using Sonax Full Effect 

Tires were cleaned using Chemical Guys Diablo

The whole car was rinsed using a foam lancer

The car was washed with Chemical Guys Citrus

NanoSkin Mitt used to decontaminate paint

Adam's Clay Bar used as secondary decon step

Iron X used as tertiary decon step

Natural light and Rupes Pen used to inspect paint

Paint polished using Sonax Perfect Finish 4/6

Gyeon Q2M Prep used to remove polish oils before coating applications
